Notary & Travel Fees in Arizona

Standard Notary Fees in Arizona

The Arizona Secretary of State sets the maximum fees that notaries public can charge for their services. These fees are designed to be accessible to all residents while covering the essential costs of notary operations. The standard fees for notary services in Arizona are as follows:

·         Notarizing signatures: $10 per signature

·         Administering oaths and affirmations: $10 per oath or affirmation

·         Certifying copies: $10 per page certified

These fees apply to various types of documents, including affidavits, deeds, wills, contracts, and powers of attorney. Notaries must adhere to these regulated fee structures and cannot charge more than the specified amounts for these services.

Travel Fees

In addition to standard notary fees, notaries public in Arizona may also charge travel fees for providing mobile notary services. These fees compensate notaries for the time and expenses incurred when traveling to a client's location.

In Arizona, mobile notaries can charge a travel fee, but it's calculated based on the state-regulated mileage rate. The current rate is $0.655 per mile for round trip mileage.

Travel fees are applied, as follows, if client is more than 10 miles from my home.

EXAMPLE: Client is 20 miles from my home base (1341 N 26th Dr Show Low) The first 10 miles are free after that .65 Cents is applied for the round trip. Meaning client will be charged for a total of 20 miles round trip 10miles out X 10 miles back for a total travel fee of $13.00 based on this example.
